World Wine Shipping Policy
Your delivery will be between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday within 5-10 working days from receipt of order. Some orders may take a little longer to fulfill e.g. if we are waiting on a shipment from overseas.
Delivery charges
World Wine charges $10 to deliver any case of wine (1-12 bottles) to most places in Australia. The cases can be mixed wines or straight. This also includes insurance (see more on insurance below).
For deliveries to remote locations (rural Western Australia, and all of the Northern Territory), World Wine will add a surcharge to the $10 delivery fee, depending on the quantity of wines ordered:
1-6 bottles $35
7-12 bottles $45
This will be charged in addition to the amount shown during Checkout.
Fastway and Australia Post are our couriers for deliveries within Australia. Both are excellent companies with a focus on delivering wine safely, and both have 'track and trace' systems on their websites so you can monitor the progress of your wine after it leaves us.
We CAN deliver to PO Boxes, and to wine storage facilities.
We reserve the right to charge for re-delivery of orders that have not been completed due to incorrect address information being supplied by the customer. Also, we arrange for wine to be returned to us if a courier is unsuccsseful on the first attempt at delivery, and the customer has not made contact after seven days to arrange for a redelivery. If wine is returned to us, we charge a $35 fee to repack and resend each case of wines.
Whilst we make every effort to deliver all your goods in the agreed time, we will not be liable if we fail to do so in part or in full due to circumstances beyond our control.
Deliveries do need to be signed for by an adult aged eighteen years or older. We suggest deliveries be made to a work address to ensure someone is available to sign for the item.
International deliveries
World Wine delivers to most countries around the world.
A fee will be charged, in addition to the amount shown during Checkout, for the additional cost of freight and international insurance. The fee will depend on the amount of wine being ordered and the destination. As with domestic shipments, all international orders are fully insured by us. In some instances, the Australian GST (VAT) of 10% will not be charged, and will be offset against the additional freight fee.
Credit card charges
Your purchases will appear on your credit card statement from Wade's World Wine.
Insurance
World Wine automatically insures each order placed with us. This covers you from any package lost or damaged in transit.
Signature Policy
You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase wine from World Wine. All packages sent out by World Wine require a signature upon delivery. We recommended you provide us with a business shipping address for best service.
WARNING: Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 it is an offence to supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years (Penalty exceeds $6,000). For a person under the age of 18 years to purchase or receive liquor (Penalty exceeds $500).
